There is always something going on!!! My dad had surgery this month and thank goodness at 84 he is going well. I aggrivated my back and was down and out for a week, but that didn't keep me from being creative!! I am so happy to say that I am on the website team for The Everyday Scrapper. I have been a forum contributor for a while and now I am posting "Teaching Thursday". Here is what I have been up to (besides being in alot of back pain..LOL)

It has been a long 10 days. My father in law is home from the hospital, but is still weak, but doing better. My dad has to have surgery and my 2 sister in laws and my niece came to visit!! It has been a very busy but fun time. My hubby is coming home from San Diego (where he has been working for 4 1/2 months) next Friday- ya hoo!!! I have been able to somewhat scrappy
This last layout is for the Pages in Time mini online crop- March 12-13. The challenge was to creat a layout with a bad pix of yourself, use paint and the title of a TV show. I think these pix qualify!!!

What a day....
I work from home sometimes and I had to take my dad to the hospital for a test this morning. I was in my pj's and getting ready for a conference call, and right at that moment, by mother in law calls me and says my 89 year old father in law is on the floor and needs help getting up. Rush rush to get clothes on and run out the door. Email my coworker to say I won't be on the conference call. As it turns out, he had the stomach flu and was dehydrated. I called 911 and the family dr. said take him to the hospital. So here I am thinking that I need to go pick up my father to go to the hospital (thank goodness it is the same one my FIL was in) So I called my dd and she hadn't gotten to school yet so she came over. Then I left and took my dad to the dr, checked on my Father in law and spent the day at the hospital. He is fine, but it has been a long day. Keep him in your prayers!!

I got outside of my box!!
You know, I try to get outside of my box from time to time (please don't tell my kids-cuz I behave much better in the box! LOL), but I got out for the weekend and this is what came out. I was so proud. I used Scarlet Lime monthly papers- yummy, by the way. I used elements like flowers to cover up things in the photo that I didn't really need. The lace flower was made by gathering lace into a circle and putting two buttons, and the blue and pink flower was cut out of my cricut and it is a cut out flower, so the part come apart, so I kept stacking them over and over and raised the flower. Let me know what you think.

I recently saw a layout using ribbon as the stem of a flower and loved it, so I tried it myself and loved the way it turned out. I made the flowers out of leaves cut out of my cricut and covered a large brad for the center of two of the flowers.
