I am in love with this paper

As a scrapbooking prize, I got the My Minds Eye Oh La La paper line and I am having lots of fun.  Usually when I do a layout, I try to think of some way to use it in a blog or a challenge.  This could be "use your oldest embellishment challenge"  I used doodlebug letters, a labelz and some ancient letters I got that are acrylic and had this cool pattern that I thought looked like water and would be perfect. When I say old, I mean, these are old!

Kitchen remodel...

Oh boy- are we having fun or what?? I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel and my hubby is away on business. Yuck. So here are some pictures. OK- with this kitchen wouldn't you remodel? This vintage 70's kitchen looks horrible. It was so bad, I never even bothered to paint. It wouldn't help!!

The hunt is almost over...

We are almost to the end of  the week-long celebration of Kiki Halbert's 4-year designiversary!! It ends on October 9, so you still have time to get in on the fun!! Congratulations, Kiki, and I sincerely hope you continue for many, many more!!

I am posting the last letter for the Code Hunt.   It's really simple... this code word is your ticket to great savings!!! You should have all six now, because they have been posted on team member blogs this week. Now that you have all 6, unscramble the word as quickly as you can!

Then, run over to Kiki's shop (Recherché by KH Designs) at Funky Playground Designs. Fill your cart! Upon checkout, enter the unscrambled code as a coupon, and BAM!! A whopping 60% will fall off of your price! This will only work for the first person to successfully collect/unscramble/use the code, so you must be quick!

There will be many other wonderful gifts and activities, so please make sure you keep an eye on Kiki's blog, as well as her Facebook and Twitter!

Do you know what the word is now??

Intro into the digital world of scrapbooking....almost!

OK, I am not a digital scrapper.  I was asked to be on Kiki Halbert's blog team, which I am so thrilled about,  so I am going to learn.    I should have done this a long time ago, because learning doesn't come easy at my age LOL.  I am having a tough time, so I decided to start easy-print  and put it on my traditional page and do some hybrid scrapbooking. Kiki just introduced her new digital kit "Burst into Spring" which is a new collab from Kiki and siamese studios.  You can get it here.  It is so cute!!!!

Here is a butterfly that I printed and cut.  I love how real her designs are.  It just pops off the page.  I added some stickles- I had to!!

This flower combines both elements again.  I used a Martha Stewart punch- a border punch and printed some of the papers from the kit, which are yummy!!

Here is my layout.

I have another tip in store, so stay tuned.  I photographed a page and added digital elements.  It is really cool.
